The Assistant Director, Communications and Outreach, will manage all aspects of the NJ Region’s communications program, working with staff and leadership to ensure that AJC NJ is positioned as a dynamic and vigorous presence among key stakeholders (current and prospective donors, coalition partners, rabbis, media, etc.). As a career coach working with recent college graduates, one of the first questions I ask new clients is about their Facebook and LinkedIn activity. A typical response from my Gen X clientele is that they are very active on Facebook with anywhere from 300 to more than 1000 friends. In respect to LinkedIn, most have not started using it, and if they have, they typically have somewhere in the range between 8 and 50 connections (connections are similar to friends in LinkedIn terminology). Both Facebook and LinkedIn are strong players in Social Media, but they have a very different focus….
